Right now I’m packing some tools and getting ready to teach my very first leather carving class at Tandy Leather in Springfield, Mo. I’m so nervous and excited to be teaching an intermediate class on form and technique. It’s been such a great honor to be asked to be an instructor. It’s a new beginning for me, and I hope it leads to many great things. It’s going to be a great day! Wish me luck!! -Rob
A belt I made for my Dad. All hand burned design done with a variable temperature cub burner. Took about 12 hours to do. He tells me he loves his hand made belt.
Still practicing techniques with my leather burning tools. Getting to know the various nibs. This time added some color to see what it looks like.
Practicing with my new detail tips on a small piece of leather. Still need practice but coming along nicely.
Custom, one of a kind, leather hand carved rattler guitar strap we created in the shop.
Testing the waters with our first blog post. A little leather pyrography I’ve been practicing.
